John Johnston is a singer and performance artist from the Prairies currently based in Montreal. His research into somatic practices and their effect on singing was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. His studies at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University and Western University were supported by the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. He is passionate about new music. He plans to pursue various things.
