The team meets bi-monthly for mutual support, sharing and learning. They are involved in training sessions both to develop their listening skills and their ability to respond to needs that arise. Emphasis is placed on the importance of maintaining confidentiality. Team members maintain contact with members of the congregation through phone calls, visits, cards and flowers. Being a member of the team provides a wonderful opportunity for committed involvement.

An annual pastoral care luncheon is held for our members. Services and teas are held yearly at local residences for seniors. Our freezer is kept stocked by members for those just out of hospital or in need of a little extra help and support.

The Pastoral Care Team is also responsible for arranging transportation to and from medical appointments, church services etc. The flowers used at Sunday worship are delivered by volunteers each Monday morning to bring a note of cheer to our shut-ins.
